Pakistan Stock Exchange was deadly raided by four gunmen on Monday, who stormed over the premises with rifles and hand grenades. In this attack, three private gunmen along with a policeman were martyred and seven people were injured. The militants arrived in a car, started indiscriminate firing at the main gate, and tried to enter the premises. The attackers were shot dead by the security forces during the counter fire on eight minutes. After the attack, an overabundant supply of food, water, and ammunition was found from the attackers which showed that they may have planned for a long siege.
PM Imran Khan accuses India for Pakistan Stock Exchange attack
The prime minister of Pakistan paid tribute to the martyrs in the national assembly on Tuesday. He said: “I pay tribute to those who laid down their lives for Pakistan and impeded India’s attempt to destabilize Pakistan.”
During his speech he also blamed India for the attack and stated that all the cabinet members already knew about all agencies which were on high alert. He further added:
“They wanted to create an environment of uncertainty and instability in Pakistan, there is no doubt that India is behind the attack and intended to create the similar situation to the incident that took place in Mumbai, they wanted to kill and take innocent people hostage.”
The president of Pakistan, Dr. Arif Alvi also condemned the attack and paid tribute to the martyrs. He tweeted:
What a brave performance by Sindh policemen who killed all four terrorists at Pakistan Stock Exchange within eight minutes of the attack. Hats off to three Shaheed, one policeman & two private guards who laid down their lives. Because of such brave people we are safe.

Foreign minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi also tweeted regarding the incident and paid tribute to the security personnel who lost their lives.
