As of August 10, 2020, Western Union will be no longer available to choose as a form of payment by Google AdSense. The publishers who are currently using Western Union payment method are advised to either use bank account or other form of payment as available in their country.
What are alternatives to Western Union for Google AdSense?
It depends from country to country but, the most common alternative is Wire Transfer or Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT.
If you’re a Google AdSense publisher in Pakistan or from any other developing country where Western Union was previously supported, using Bank transfer or Wire Transfer is the best option to get paid from AdSense.
The process of adding a new payment method is same as before.
As of August 10, 2020, you will no longer be able to select Western Union as a new form of payment. We recommend that publishers currently using Western Union switch to another available payment method before payments through Western Union stop in early 2021. We will inform current users in advance as to when Western Union can no longer be used to receive payments in their country.
Google AdSense, Payments
When your earnings reach the payment method selection threshold, you can select your form of payment. Depending on your payment address, the following payment options may be available to you:
- Checks
- Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT)
- EFT via Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA)
- Rapida
- Wire Transfer
Make sure the payee name is same as entered in AdSense account earlier.
